Aboriginal Student Affairs (ASA)

Aboriginal Student Affairs in the Faculty of Arts supports the success of new and continuing First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students. As part of Arts Academic Advising, we are here to provide you with academic and cultural support and to help you meet your educational and personal goals at UBC.

Advising staff is available year-round to answer any academic and course planning questions that you may have. We can help you to develop a course of study to reach your educational and career goals, review your progress toward degree completion, and make sure you understand the graduation requirements for the Faculty of Arts.

Please contact us directly to make an appointment or with any questions you may have.

UBC’s Vancouver campus is located on the traditional, ancestral, unceded territory of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ speaking  xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam People). Visit the UBC Aboriginal Portal to hear a welcome by Elder Larry Grant and to learn more about partnerships between UBC and the Musqueam Indian Band.

About our Logo

We would like to thank Tahltan-Tlingit artist Linda Bob for allowing us to use her beaded flower design as our logo. She is a member of the wolf clan and has been beading for over 20 years.
