Indigenous Foundations

Indigenous Foundations is a website project developed by First Nations and Indigenous Studies. It provides an accessible starting point for instructors, researchers, and students in any discipline who want to learn more about Aboriginal cultures, politics, and histories. The information presented is concise and easily digestible, while still conveying the depth and complexities of the topics.

Indigenous Foundations incorporates learning tools such as video interviews and other multimedia outlets to create an engaging resource. Related topics are linked together to emphasize the importance of understanding these topics within their larger contexts. Indigenous Foundations equips students with the skills and knowledge to engage in meaningful dialogue both on and off-campus regarding Aboriginal topics.

This project was made possible with the support of the Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund, the Musqueam Indian Band, the Union of British Columbia Indian Chiefs, the First Nations Summit, and the Assembly of First Nations.
